Learning tricks of the trade!

Stamped words in metal bracelet
Recently, my daughter and I went to a jewelry making class at Michaels craft store. We took a class learning to stamp in metal. I was super excited about this class because I had never done anything like this before. It was interesting but harder than I expected.

We made a bracelet with our stamped pieces, tassel and leather band. Stamping onto the metal plate was the most difficult part. You had to able to get the right amount of strength in your hits with the hammer for the metal piece to make an impression. I was glad I choose a short word, or I don't believe I would have had much success. ;-)

Boho bracelet
Have you ever taken a class at Michaels? This was our second class. The first class we took, I went with both of our daughters and my mom. We made a braided boho bracelet. There was some difficulty at first, as we learned how to braid into the metal bracelet. I think I would make another one of these types of bracelets.

I would love to hear what new skills you have learned? What do you like to craft?

Have a great week!
