This is the best day ever!

Ema has such spirit and is so excited for life. Recently I took her rollerskating for the first time. She won a free entry from the summer reading program. She had a blast. I loved watching her try and dance to the music while we skated around the rink....

What do a bear, Diva and Butterfly have in common??

HALLOWEEN! Happy fall to everyone. We have been enjoying the halloween festivities here in SC. Halloween parade through downtown with friends on Mon. Trick or Treating at the mall on Thursday, Trick or treating and a party this coming weekend...Storytime had a halloween theme at the library this week. It has been great fun. Ema is a Diva/singer, Jael a Pink Butterfly and Jethro a brown bear cub...they look so cute...

We had fun carving pumpkins on thursday as well since Jeff had the day off due to the student conference this weekend. So Jael's is Tinkerbell, Ema designed her own with drawings and everything. Her response when Jeff was done "You are the best Daddy ever.." O painted Jethro a Tigger pumpkin...as you can see the pics of the beginning of it.

Got to love those eyes....thanks LB for such a sweet shot.

First day of School. We used to take pictures like this when I was a kid so had to do it with the girls...

Doing our school work...Ema is doing really well so far...Jael is enjoying cutting coloring and playing while we do "school"

Farm field trip

In July we had a great time visiting a local farm with our friends. There were all kinds of animals. Pigs, goats, chickens, a lizard, and horses... we also were able to bring some milkweed home and caterpillars.
It was a nice time...

The infamous Lion Shrine

Our new little son has been such a joy. With his arrival we have had the pleasure of having several visitors. One was my brother and his girlfriend came all the way from Portland Oregon to meet Jethro. It was a really nice time to catch up with them.

Spring Break for PSU

Hi All
My husband and I are in college ministry and we live right near Penn State University. Where we have the awesome opportunity to be involved in students lives for the Lord.
One student my husband is in connected with went with our student fellowship to Orlando FL to minister to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
He is keeping a blog during his time there this week. If you would like to read it, here is the link

Ema's dance class

This winter we have signed Ema up for a dance class, called Dancing with Grace. It is the highlight of each of her weeks, she looks so forward to it. She is doing it with two of her little girlfriends Lydia and Esther, whom we get to carpool with too....

Emalyne's Four Years Old!!!

So Ema wanted a cake with sprinkles on it and to go to Denny's for her birthday so that was what we had....boy were there a lot of sprinkles....
She is growing up too fast....

fun things

One day while treking around the back yard we followed animal tracks....
Mr Dan, one of Jeff's friends and co-workers, has priveledged us with several visits recently both to watch football, which I actually enjoyed....
Ema is into dressing up and always wanting me to take her picture as she dances around in her new creations.
We have some of the prettiest views out our back door of Mt Nittany, I really like it when there is snow on the ground....and no leaves because you can see the mountain...
Jael is growing so fast but also calming down some, she used to never sit to look at books or read with us and now she is doing that, it is fun to listen to her as she babbles and makes up stories about the pictures she sees.

fun things we have made

Ema made this soldier of herself at staff conference during her VBS. The girls love snowmen so here is our snowpeople family we created..and of course our latest food craze octodogs....
if you want to see some of the other fun things I or the girls have made I have started a new blog featuring just things we have made check it out
http://worksofthehands.blogspot.com/

feed the birds....

One thing the girls love around here is feeding the birds...so we made some homemade bird feeders taking some old ice cream cones we had, peanut butter (because we have soooo much) and bird seed and went to town...
I am not sure how much the birds actually ate because they were gone before we could watch but I am sure some animal out there enjoyed them....

snow snow snow

There has been no lack of snow for us this year... and no lack of cold temps either, here are some fun pics of the girls with their dad and then also playing in the snow with our neighbor and her daughter...enjoy....yes one thing they love to do is eat snow...ha ha ha thanksfully it is white...
