Is there a story behind your shop name and if so what is it?
Yes! When I was in junior high, I started reading The Christy Miller series by Robin Jones Gunn. She often refers to the concept: "pockets of grace". I felt the Holy Spirit lead me to ask her if I could use that concept one day for my photography business. She said "yes"!
Fast forward 26 years or so when God's blessed me with the opportunity to pursue photography full time and God reminds me that I need to call it: Pockets of Grace Photography. I love it! It perfectly describes what He's done and will do in my life and business.
"Pockets of Grace" is an unexplainable blessing or circumstance in which God directs your path in ways you never dreamed or imagined.
Do you have any giveaways or sales coming up or other exciting things that you would like to be shared in your post?
I'm working on a new project called: Pocket of Joys. (I enjoy keeping "pocket" as apart of my branding.) I just created an IG page: @pocketofjoys but I haven't posted anything yet. I've been consumed with creating content for IG for 2021 and Jane.com as well. In time, once I have the project created, I hope to create an additional Etsy page for this new venture. I look forward to checking this out in the future.
Do you do your creating alone or with a partner or family member?
More often than not, I'm with someone else when I stumble upon letters out in the wild. I enjoy it when my husband's with me. He has a unique eye and always helps me look at architecture just a bit differently. That is so fun.
What hopes do you have for your business in the future?
I would love:
1. For POG (Pocket of Grace Photography) to become a household name. When someone wants a unique and original piece of artwork for their friends and/or family, I want them to think of me.
2. To bring in a steady paycheck each month. The revenue from my business funds my family's dreams. (Fun fact: my husband said as soon as I have two months of steady income, we can go back to Disney World. We LOVE Disney!! It's a fun motivator.)
3. For Chip and Joanna Gaines to have my artwork in their home. (Lofty goals!) This would be really cool.
4. To create and grow friendships I've made from my followers (who are amazing)!
What is your most favorite piece that you have made?
L - "Purpose" - This little gem is one of my original letters; the start of something brave. I found it while wandering around my Mom's amazing garden. I realized the lawn chair’s edge made an "L". Every time I see it, I’m reminded that God has a purpose for everything. Even when nothing makes sense, He’s got huge plans! I hold tight to Jeremiah 29:11-13, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” This is such a great reminder.
What is one thing you would love to share with others who are considering going into the handmade business?
It's the hardest and most rewarding job! Be prepared to dig in to make your dreams a reality! This is so true.

Meredith has been selling online since 2016. She finds it to be the perfect medium for her because "As an introvert, the likelihood I'm going to stand on the street corner and peddle my business just isn't going to happen. ;) Next best thing, the Internet! :) "
She sells on ETSY and Jane. ETSY being her favorite. She had hoped to expand out into craft fairs but then COVID hit, we will see what the future holds for Meredith.
You can find Meredith online at the following locations:
