Holiday Art Charity Box!
Hi Friends. How are you? It truly has been a long time since I have done a blog post. I am sorry about that. Life has been full. Taking care of my family and business. How have you been? How has your fall been? Fall is pretty much done for us, we just had our first snowfall over the weekend. Where does the time go?
As we are moving into the holiday season one of the things I love to do is to give back. Last year we curated a box of handmade goods and gave the proceeds to three different charities. This year we have curated goods from seven different artists including ourselves to put together another really fun holiday art box. The proceeds from the box this year will go to a charity I found on Global Giving. The project is for Guatemalan Women's cross-generational development project. Here is an excerpt from the page about the project:
"The project creates work for 125 indigenous women, using traditional weaving skills, so that they have income to be self sufficient and support their daughters entering a path of formal education."
So if you partner with us this year by purchasing one of our Holiday Art Boxes, you will not only be supporting artisans from the US but also helping these Guatemalan women and their daughters. How awesome is that? You will receive a box of handmade goods from seven different artists and the proceeds go to helping people get out of the cycle of poverty. The items in the box are worth over $60 and would make great gifts for yourself or friends and family this holiday season. Can you tell that I am excited??
