To God be the Glory

Jer 29:10-14
(10) "For thus says the LORD: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place.
(11) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
(12) Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
(13) You will seek me and find me. When you seek me with all your heart,
(14) I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
During my quiet time today I was looking for something to comfort me and remind me of some of the promises of the Lord. I feel so weighted with all that is going on in our lives right now and the Lord reminded me that the only true comfort can come from Him. So I went to Jeremiah 29 and looked at what the Lord promised after the exile to Babylon and remembered that He promises so much more now through Jesus Christ. I just had to stop and think on that. That all that was swirling around in my head was not much compared to Christ and what He did on the cross and how He defeated death that we may live eternally with Him in the new Heaven and New Earth. What a mighty God we have. It just brought tears to my to think of His care for us. I wouldn't want my life in any better care then His.
"To God be the glory, great things He has done..."
May the Lord bless you this Easter with the understanding of His love and His gift of Jesus Christ.

  1. AMEN!!! Praise the Lord for His loving care, His faithfulness, and His blessings... When we are weak, He is always strong. Continue to lean on Him. Trust and surrender it all to Him and he will make "beauty from ashes".(trust and obey, for there is not other way, to be happy in Jesus. but to trust and obey...) These hard times can bring forth such wonderful things. Hang in there, and may our Lord continue to bless you and encourage you and your family. Have a great day.
